Job OverviewThe Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring that TrueLearns data and reporting is accurate, complete, and consistent. This role is responsible for identifying data quality issues, developing processes to address them, and monitoring data quality over time, as well as creating and maintaining data definitions and documentation. The Data Quality Analyst will also collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to provide quality control (QA) for the data assets (e.g., new product features, internal reports, data requests, etc.) created to support new internal reports and customer-facing product features.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain data governance standards and policies across TrueLearns data and reporting
- Develop and implement data quality standards and processes, including comprehensive data profiling/reconciliation and analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues in TrueLearns reporting data
- Identify data quality issues and develop processes to address them
- Ensure data is accurate, complete, and consistent
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data sources and how data is used
- Create data quality management tools, such as data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalogs
- Monitor data quality over time and provide recommendations for improving data quality, e.g., creating data quality score cards and conducting regular data audits
- Provide quality control (QA) advisory for data engineers and data scientists
- Become a trusted partner and expert about TrueLearns data and contribute to data governance initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Technical Skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of ELT, advanced SQL (DDL/DML), and database design
- Strong skills in SQL for querying, updating, and managing data in relational databases
- Proven experience developing dashboard and data visualizations in Looker (preferred), Tableau, Power BI, or other BI reporting tool
- Proficiency using DBT (or other ELT tools) in a modern data stack, including how to use DBT to create data unit tests
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality management tools, such as data catalogs and quality tools

Pay: $65,000.00 - $83,365.00 per year
